To receive views of local residents on items set out in the agenda and other parish matters proposed for inclusion in future agendas.

To receive Clerk’s update on recent matters and agree next steps where appropriate.

  1. Planning

To consider the following planning applications for determination by Herefordshire Council.

  1. Council Printer

To consider purchasing a suitable colour laser printer within our financial budget.

  1. Telephone Box Refurbishment

To send thanks for Martin Bradford for the refurbishment of the telephone box.

 To consider appointing a “Book Monitor” within the Parish Council.

  1. AGAR Work

To consider and approve request from Mrs Haywood to reimburse her for additional work on AGAR queries.

  1. Derelict House Church Lane

To consider the condition of the above property on safety grounds and agree next steps as appropriate.

  1. Millbrook Way Bridge

The bridge in Millbrook Way is in need of maintenance. In particular repainting. The Parish Council is asked to consider the following motion.

To consider what steps, if any, are appropriate to secure the maintenance of paintwork at Millbrook Way bridge.

  1. Insurance for Footpath Volunteers

To consider obtaining insurance for footpath volunteers using petrol machinery for footpath maintenance.

  1. Millbrook Way Bridge

To consider the report from Cllr Lane on defects in the design and construction of Millbrook Way bridge and consequential flooding dated 10th July and determine whether a Notice should be served to Herefordshire Council (Highway Authority) under Section 56 of the Highways Act 1980 or take such other measures as are appropriate.

  1. Herefordshire Flood Groups Meeting

To receive a report from Cllr Lane following on from the Herefordshire Flood Groups meeting held on 16th July 2024 and Flood Warden Scheme.

  1. Parish Summit Meeting

To receive a report from Cllr Lane on the Parish Summit meeting held by Herefordshire Council on 9th July 2024.

  1. To receive updates and agree next steps, where appropriate:
    • Village Hall – to receive an update from Cllr Gittings.
    • Orleton Recreation Association – to receive an update from Cllr Powell.
    • Highways – to receive an update from Cllr Bishop.
    • Land Drainage Group – to receive an update from Cllr Lane.
    • Footpaths – to receive an update from Cllr Lane.
  1. To receive an update form HC Bircher Ward Member, Councillor D. Hurcomb (limited to 5 minutes).
