The two Speed Indicator Displays, part-owned by the parish council, were deployed for the first time on the B4361 and B4362 at Comberton on the edge of the village.

SID Results – Unit at Comberton, B4362, 13 December 2019 – 3 January 2020:

Average speed: 36.5 mph
Total traffic numbers (85%): 21,005
Average speed (85%): 36.5 mph
Highest speed recorded: 75mph at 8.15pm on 13 December 2019
The measure used by West Mercia Police is called the 85th percentile, which is intended to capture the average speed of most drivers by excluding the highest and lowest speeds. According to the formula used by the Safer Roads Partnership, speeds in excess of 46 mph will indicate a speeding problem.
