We are trying to locate the missing ‘Green Lane’ street name sign which has gone missing some time ago.
The parish council has recently started a new project involving restoration of the old cast iron road signs in the village. Many of them are in bad state of repair and we are at risk of loosing them forever, with the modern replacements being of much lesser quality. To make sure that the historic cast iron signs are preserved the parish council together with our Parish Footpath Officer Martin Bradford, have undertaken the restoration project, with one sign lovingly restored at a time. You may have noticed that the Millbrook Way sign has recently been brought back to life – looking proud and shiny.
We are now looking for the lost ‘GREEN LANE’ sign, which has fallen off its backing some time ago and has gone missing since.
If you know where it is, or perhaps, have picked it up and stored safely until now – please let us know!
